The
Anyash Design & Gift Shop houses the artistic and entrepreneurial
collaboration of Anya and Yasha Michelson, along with their daughter
Marina, the owners of Paper or Plastik Café. The store displays an array
of unique articles ranging from antique hand-felted rugs and
hand-stitched blankets from Uzbekistan and Morocco, ancient Cherkess
coats and kaftans from Central Asia, handmade dolls and marionettes by
artisans from all around the world, as well as originally designed
modern garments by Anya Michelson, vintage glasses and home décor, and
beauty items. These one of a kind items are supplemented with a
precisely selected display of contemporary lines, both local and global,
like garments by Electric Feathers, appealing cookbooks and
architectural imprints, and soaps by Saipua. This hand picked and
carefully curated collection represents the family's creative lifestyle
vision, and is constantly being replenished, as the design process is
never
complete.
